Birds Among The Fruit Trees by Andrew Kidd. Violin and field recordings by Andrew Kidd. Mixed and mastered by Andrew Kidd.

Birds Among the Fruit Trees is inspired by, a) Conlon Nancarrow’s work on temporal dissonance (i.e. where two or more simultaneous different tempi interfere with each other), and b) irrational numbers in nature. It comprises of five phonic experiments, each of which employ a combination of five notes played separately on the violin – five being the only prime number that is the sum of two consecutive primes.
